Being part of the TA means that they help develop
your:
- confidence
- fitness
- self-reliance
- teamwork
The TA has a lot to offer. When you join, you are never joining alone as
there are usually 30-40 people behind you who are in the same boat. Not only do you have these people behind you, but
you also have people in front of you who have done it all and so there is always someone there to help you.
When you first join, you usually end up talking to all the other people who are
joining and in most cases the people who you join with end up being the people who you are friends with throughout the training
period. The TA is a great way of meeting new people and making new friends that you will have for life. Because
the TA's structure relies heavily on teamwork, it means that making new friends is very likely.
The TA also helps you to develop any new skills that you have or can help you learn
new ones, so you can use your skills from you civilian job and expand them or you can decided to chose a totally different
career path within the TA.
The TA is usually a good way of getting rid of stress that you may not be able
to do in your civilian life.
